SUMMARY:Small Business Info Session: SBIF Financing / Lunch & Learn with Wintrust Bank
DESCRIPTION:Join Edgewater Chamber of Commerce and Wintrust Bank for a Lunch & Learn session about the City of Chicago's Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF).\n\n\n\nWED 6/6\n\n12:30pm - 1:30pm\n\nFried Egg Cafe\n\n1039 W. Bryn Mawr\n\n\n\nRegistration required\n\nLunch included\n\n\n\nThe SBIF application period is open May 1 to May 30 to businesses/properties located in the\n\nBryn Mawr / Broadway TIF district (map above).\n\n\n\nDuring this session we will watch the City of Chicago's informational webinar on the SBIF (Small Business Improvement Fund) Program. Afterwards\, our friends from Wintrust will discuss financing options for businesses participating in the SBIF program.\n\n\n\nThe SBIF grant is funded by local Tax Increment Financing (TIF) revenue and is made available to\n\nbusiness and property owners located in the SBIF eligible TIF districts citywide. Grant funds may be\n\nused to reimburse up to 90% of pre approved construction costs\, with a maximum reimbursement of\n\n$75\,000 for multi tenant properties\, $150\,000 for commercial properties\, and $250\,000 for industrial\n\nproperties. These funds can be used for new windows\, roofs\, doors\, HVAC systems\, tuckpointing\,\n\nbathroom remodeling\, and more\, and the grant does not have to be repaid.\n\n\n\nThe SBIF program requires that businesses show they have the financing to complete their projects.\n\nThis can be satisfied by sharing a bank statement or a letter from a bank with a loan commitment. \n\n\n\nYou can learn more about the City of Chicago's SBIF program at www.chicago.gov/sbif\n\n\n\nRegister for Edgewater Chamber's Lunch & Learn info session here
