The Small Business Advocacy Council (SBAC) is laser-focused on advocating for the small business community. In Chicago, they spearheaded efforts to reduce red tape for sign and other public way use permits, made it easier to operate a home-based business, worked to expand outdoor dining and drove other efforts to improve the economic climate for local businesses. The SBAC is currently working in tandem with other stakeholders on a robust package of reforms to reduce red tape in Chicago.
