Colvin Concerts: Steve Bromar

Steven Bomar is a drummer, percussionist, and composer based in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. Specializing in Jazz and Latin styles, Steven pursued jazz studies at Illinois State University. Steven Bomar is currently writing his debut album titled “Our Higher Purpose.” “Our Higher Purpose” is an album dedicated to the growth of both my musical and mental maturity; an opportunity to reach my maximum potential, in sharing my creativity with the world. This album comes from my perspective of a young man who grew up in Bellwood, Illinois, with a heavy influence in gospel music, while highlighting the people and experiences that helped mold me into the man I am today. This album evokes many different emotions, from joyful, regret, peace, and sentimental tones. The main theme of this album is that we all have a higher purpose in life. This album is an encouragement to all to walk in your purpose. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Food & Drink: We have food and a selection of beverages (sodas, beer, and wine) for sale onsite at Colvin House! Guests can order from a limited menu each week. Please note that we do not allow outside food or drinks at Colvin Concerts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parking Info: The first 15 cars can park FREE at George B. Swift Elementary School, just two blocks west of Colvin House (as space allows). Please come to Colvin House's back door (off Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit from staff who will provide further instructions. We also recommend The Malibu Condominiums (6007 N Sheridan) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2.00 off.
