Leaf Town Forever Book Launch

Kathleen and Beth Rooney's debut picture book, Leaf Town Forever -- written in haiku and illustrated by the brilliant Betsy Bowen -- comes out with University of Minnesota Press in the appropriately leafy month of October, and we're having a party to launch it! The celebration will take place on Sunday, October 26th, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the beautiful and historic Colvin House at 5940 N. Sheridan Road (just north of Thorndale). It's free and open to the public! There will be a complimentary cake! The Book Cellar will be on hand selling copies, which the authors will happily sign! They will give a short reading (the whole book is only 423 words) and offer leaf-related postcard and haiku activities suitable for readers of all ages. It's an open house-style event, so no need to arrive on the dot or stay the whole time (though we'd love it if you did because we're stoked to hang out and talk about leaves).
