Sewa Senior Care, a leading home care services provider based in Illinois, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides to join our team. At Sewa Senior Care, we are committed to enhancing the lives of seniors with personalized in-home care, championing independence, dignity, and comfort for every elder we serve. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care services and providing companionship to our clients, enabling them to age gracefully and enjoy a fulfilling life in the comfort of their own home.

Responsibilities

? Personal Care Assistance

? Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, in accordance with their individual care plans and preferences.
? Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and exercises to promote physical well-being and independence.
? Administer medications and assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals.

? Companionship and Emotional Support

? Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being.
? Accompany clients on walks, outings, and appointments, providing companionship and assistance as needed. 
? Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients facing challenges or experiencing loneliness.

? Household Assistance

? Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation, laundry, and tidying up client's living spaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
? Assist with grocery shopping, errands, and other household chores as requested by clients or their families.

? Communication and Documentation

? Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns or changes in the client's condition.
? Document care provided and observations accurately and timely in client records, following company policies and procedures.

? Safety and Wellness

? Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and the spread of illness.
? Monitor clients for signs of distress, changes in health status, or medication side effects, reporting any concerns promptly to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.

Qualifications
? High school diploma or equivalent required.
? Previous experience in caregiving, or related fields preferred but not required.
? Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
? Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
? Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
? Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
? Must pass background checks and health screenings as required by regulatory agencies.
