About Us

BLISS JOY BULL is a clothing repair and upcycling studio based in Edgewater, Chicago. We provide visible mending workshops, custom clothing repair, mending supplies, and one of a kind upcycled clothing and accessories from vintage and secondhand materials. We're located at 1210 W Granville Ave.

Nandi Duszynski (she/her) started BLISS JOY BULL in 2010 from a desire to reduce waste and use unwanted materials. In early 2021, Nandi began teaching sewing classes virtually. Over the years many people have come up to her during craft shows saying they “Don’t even know how to sew on a button”. With that in mind, along with the knowledge of overproduction, overconsumption, and lack of sewing skills, she developed a visible mending class. Nandi strives to make sewing simple, bringing joy to the clothing we wear by making it last longer. Nandi teaches sewing classes virtually, the Chicagoland area, and takes commissions for clothing repair.
