About Us

Edgewater Candles is a small batch candle company born in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood in 2016. We craft soy candles, incense, and home fragrance products using non-toxic ingredients: midwestern soy wax, cotton wicks, and skin-safe oils, with no additives or dyes. Our scents are bold and distinctive, ranging from the earthy and unexpected (Tomato Leaf, Palo Santo, #2 Pencil) to the warmly familiar (Cardamom Chai, Woodsmoke, Vanilla Sandalwood). Our Bryn Mawr boutique is more than a candle shop. It's a place to unplug and unwind with the analog experience of scent. Alongside our fragrance collection you'll find a curated selection of gifts designed for cozy moments: watercolor books, puzzles, card games, chocolates, and more. We give back a portion of every sale to local nonprofits, and we gladly take back empty containers for reuse and recycling. Visit us daily from 11 to 6, or join one of our candle making classes, one of Chicago's most beloved hands-on experiences. Everything we make, we make with care, right here in Illinois.
