About Us

HandyBandi is a handyman company with its office on Clark Street in Andersonville, just north of Balmoral. Edgewater is the neighborhood we work in most, and we know both halves of it: the lakefront high-rises along Sheridan Road, where a job starts with the building's management office, and the vintage flats, greystones and single-family homes west of Broadway, where walls are plaster and doors have settled out of square.

Most calls are small jobs that have waited too long: a door that sticks, a TV that has to go on a masonry wall, a shelf, a dripping faucet, a tub that needs fresh caulk. One crew covers carpentry, drywall and painting, minor plumbing and appliance installation, so a list of five jobs usually takes one visit instead of five appointments.

We also make the small changes that help people stay in their homes longer: grab bars anchored into studs or blocking, lever handles in place of round knobs, railings that no longer wobble, and thresholds that stop catching a foot.

Every visit starts with a flat-rate quote, and that number is the invoice. Our technicians are background-checked, and HandyBandi is bonded and insured, which most condo associations require before a contractor can work in the building.

We serve all of Chicago, plus Evanston, Skokie and Oak Park, seven days a week.
